Lesson 19: Giving Reasons with から (Kara) & ので (Node)
Learn how to connect cause and effect in Japanese using subjective reason から and polite objective reason ので.
1. Pattern: [Reason] から、[Result]
- 時間がありませんから、タクシーで行きます。 (Jikan ga arimasen kara, takushii de ikimasu.) → Because I do not have time, I will go by taxi.
- 明日はテストですから、今夜勉強します。 (Ashita wa tesuto desu kara, kon’ya benkyou shimasu.) → Because tomorrow is a test, I will study tonight.
2. Polite Cause: [Reason] ので、[Result]
- 頭が痛いので、病院へ行きます。 (Atama ga itai node, byouin e ikimasu.) → Since I have a headache, I am going to the clinic.
