Lesson 9: Location of Action Particle で (De)
Learn how particle で marks where an active event takes place, as well as means/tools used to complete an action.
1. Place where Action Occurs: [Place] で [Action]
- 図書館で勉強します。 (Toshokan de benkyou shimasu.) → I study at the library.
- レストランでご飯を食べます。 (Resutoran de gohan o tabemasu.) → I eat food at the restaurant.
2. Means / Tools / Method: [Tool/Vehicle] で
- バスで学校へ行きます。 (Basu de gakkou e ikimasu.) → I go to school by bus.
- 箸で食べます。 (Hashi de tabemasu.) → I eat with chopsticks.
